Oscam installation on Ubuntu
First we must make sure we can install repository's (PPA):
For Ubuntu 12.04
sudo apt-get install python-software-properties
For Ubuntu 12.10 and up
@sudo apt-get install software-properties-common
Now we add the Oscam repository:
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:oscam/ppa
sudo apt-get update
Install oscam:
sudo apt-get install oscam
When the installation is done stop the oscam service:
sudo service oscam stop
Now we need to edit some files, so we need to know where this files are located:
dpkg -L oscam
Below are the three files we need to edit.
/etc/oscam/oscam.server
/etc/oscam/oscam.user
/etc/oscam/oscam.conf
First we make sure we backup those files before editing:
cd /etc/oscam
sudo mv oscam.conf oscam.conf.bak
sudo mv oscam.server oscam.server.bak
sudo mv oscam.user oscam.user.bak
sudo nano oscam.conf
NOTE: Be sure you edit the lines 42, 43 and 45.
sudo nano oscam.server
sudo nano oscam.user
NOTE: Be sure you add the right CAID on oscam.server line 9 and oscam.user line 6 and 7.
Ziggo/Casema CAID 0602
Ziggo/Multikabel CAID 0604
Ziggo/@Home CAID 0604
Now start Oscam, and tail the log:
sudo service oscam start
sudo tail -f /var/log/oscam/oscam.log
And be sure this lines are showed:
2012/05/27 14:21:30 147E2B0 r found cardsystem irdeto

OScam and CCcam installation for linux (ubuntu 11.10 and 12.04 and 12.10)

How to connect OSCam to CCcam
Method 1
You need N line. It looks like this:
In oscam.conf file you need to have these lines:
change the port number to what you want & remember to open that port in your router & assign it to your box ip if you are going to issue N line. change the caid of the card to your need.
CCcam port & oscam port must be two different ports.
Key line is made up of 14 pairs of numbers or letters or a mixture. Port line is always different, it depends on the card that you have.
Port number (34000) can be anything, its your choice.
You can choose password and username yourself .
And with all this info we can make N line:
Now we can add this N line to CCcam.cfg and thats it. oscam is now connected to CCcam.
We can also add 256 to the end of N line. With this trick CCcam can see our oscam card as local.
This trick doesnt work with 2.1.4 or above CCcam versions.
make sure you input a user in oscam.user like this.
oscam.user
any changes to oscam configs will take place only after restart of oscam .
Method 2
another method of connecting oscam to CCcam is the camd3 protocol (L line) which is set like this .
with this method you get faster ecm as there are no deskeys as in the N line .
oscam.conf
oscam.user
Now open CCcam.cfg and enter this line:
First number is IP address of your server, then there is port number and username/password.
At the end there is the CAID number of your package and you can also optionally add 256 at the end.
This means that your card will show as local in CCcam. Same trick as in newcamd (N line).
You need N line. It looks like this:
Code:
N: 127.0.0.1 34000 user pass 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14
Code:
[newcamd] key = 0102030405060708091011121314 port = 34000@1830:003411
CCcam port & oscam port must be two different ports.

oscam.user
Code:

with this method you get faster ecm as there are no deskeys as in the N line .
oscam.conf
Code:
[cs357x] serverip = 192.168.0.100 #your server ip address port = 15500 keepalive = 1
Code:
[account] user = user pwd = pass group = 1
Code:
L: 192.168.0.100 15500 user pass 0963 000000 256
At the end there is the CAID number of your package and you can also optionally add 256 at the end.
This means that your card will show as local in CCcam. Same trick as in newcamd (N line).

How to Install Oscam/CCcam and Smargo Reading SKy UK Card on Ubuntu
first you want to install ubuntu . i use 10.04 but i think any version will work aslong as its the server edidtion.
after you have installed ubuntu log into your server with the username you created during install
then enter your password
then to get as root we need to type sudo -i then press enter, it will ask for password enter password you use for your user
this is how you will always be able to loggin as root
now you are logged in as root.
1. give your server a static ip. put this line in and press enter
nano /etc/network/interfaces
change the dhcp to static then under it put like this
PHP Code:
address 192.168.1.78
netmask 255.255.255.0
broadcast 192.168.1.78
gateway 192.168.1.254
of course these are example ips so please change to your own ips
once done hold ctrl+x press y then enter
now to restart network put this line in
Code:
/etc/init.d/networking restart
you should now have static ip on your server
2. install SSh
Code:
apt-get install openssh-server
3. update sources list
Code:
apt-get update
4. install FTP server
Code:
apt-get install proftpd (standalone)
After this reboot server
Now download winSCP and Putty
WinSCP download link here
Putty Download Link Here
PHP Code:
http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/5
now open putty and enter your servers ip then press enter
put your user then password then sudo -i then password and press enter
you are in terminal as root on remote computer you can also just use your server but you may find using remote pc easier
now copy or add 1 by 1 these lines into terminal pressing enter after each one
PHP Code:
mkdir /var/etc
mkdir /var/keys
mkdir /var/script
mkdir /var/config
mkdir /var/backup
mkdir /var/cccamlog
mkdir /var/www
chown scott /var/etc
chown scott /var/ke*ys
chown scott /var/script
chown scott /var/config
chown scott /var/backup
chown scott /var/cccamlog
chown scott /usr/local/bin
chown scott /usr/local/etc
chown scott /var/www
6. now put CCcam.x86 in usr/local/bin also put oscam in usr/local/bin use winscp to put the files in each directory. install winscp add a log in with username the one you made on install of ubuntu and password you made on install of ubuntu
chmod both files
Code:
chmod 755 /usr/local/bin/CCcam.x86
chmod 755 /usr/local/bin/oscam
7. put your oscam.conf oscam.server and oscam.user in /usr/local/etc
then put your cccam.cfg and provider and channel list in /var/etc
ok to get oscam to read your sly uk card you need to add this n line in your cccam.cfg file
Code:

8. now what to have in your oscam config files . keep in mind this is for sly uk and smargo reader . some lines will differ with different cards and readers
first file to make is oscam.conf paste this in the file and save
Code:
global]
nice = -1
WaitForCards = 1
logfile = stdout
preferlocalcards = 1
saveinithistory = 1
